1. Potash Detectives
Grades: 4, 5, 7 & 9-12. Learners will become detectives as they uncover the mystery of potash by rotating through stations and filling in their doodle notes worksheet. Potash Solution Mining Model
Grades: 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, & 12. In a hands-on, inquiry, and model making challenge, students are hired as mining engineers to bring the potash to the surface without using underground workers. Students learn about mechanical mixtures, solutions, solubility, dissolution, and evaporation through inquiry based experimentation.
